At Shristi IVF Center, we strive to offer our patients the most advanced and effective fertility treatments to increase their chances of a successful pregnancy. One such innovation in assisted reproductive technology (ART) is blastocyst culture. This technique enhances embryo development and helps improve the outcomes of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) by allowing embryos to develop longer in the lab before being transferred into the uterus.
By allowing embryos to grow for an extended period before transfer, we maximize their chances of implantation and a healthy pregnancy. Our team of skilled fertility specialists and embryologists work with state-of-the-art technology to ensure that your treatment is optimized for success.
A blastocyst is an embryo that has developed for 5 to 6 days after fertilization. During this time, the embryo undergoes significant changes, including the formation of a fluid-filled cavity (blastocoel), which is an essential stage of embryo development.
In a traditional IVF cycle, embryos are usually cultured for 2 to 3 days, and the most viable embryos are selected for transfer. However, with blastocyst culture, embryos are cultured for 5 to 6 days in the lab before transfer. By waiting longer, we give the embryos more time to develop, which allows us to select the healthiest embryos with the highest potential for implantation and pregnancy.
If you’re ready to learn more about blastocyst culture or are considering it as part of your IVF treatment plan, we invite you to schedule a consultation with one of our fertility specialists. We will discuss your options, assess your unique situation, and develop a plan tailored to your needs.
